Augustina’s family is typical of the villagers who Mama Koko has advocated for. Heavy logging damaged the fields of Augustina’s family farms. Even though she works seven hours a day in the fields to help her family survive, she spends another five hours a day in school, and dreams of becoming a math teacher.
