When I decided to start documenting Shamans, the first country I visited was Siberia. Director and filmmaker, Kevin Tomlinson, joined me and we have been great friends, working on projects together ever since. Kevin recently has come on as co-director for Crazywise and brings a wealth of filmmaking experience.
This project started as a cross-cultural exploration of the way severe mental distress is defined and treated. After interviewing close to 20 different psychologist and psychiatrist, we have found some emerging alternatives for mental health recovery. Read more »
