Over the last few weeks we have been spending a lot of time getting to know the community at SoulFood Books. Sadly during this time Adam’s mother passed away from cancer. In our most recent interview Adam talks about his mother’s passing and how he feels his new beliefs, that were very different a few years before, have given him another perspective on death.

Adam mentions how faith, acceptance and eternal energy have brought him some peace and comfort. He shares with us that he hasn’t learned these beliefs by reading books, but through meditation and many times through severe panic attacks. The emotions Adam experiences have progressively been teaching him that his panic attacks can be viewed as an opportunity to release his fears versus resisting them. Even though his mother’s passing is a great loss, Adam has created a foundation from which he has, ‘faith that it is always unfolding as it should and that she’s where she needs to be. We are all right where we should be.”

Adam -I am not a doctor or psychologist. But I can tell you from personal experience that you cannot underestimate the profound depth of the grieving process on both conscious and subconscious levels. I lost my mother and then my father. I cared for him toward the end of his life here and there was a huge void. Don’t let go of the grief too soon. It is there for a reason. But it will go away.
